# Workstation Processor Reference

Use this reference when reviewing a workstation processor for Liberty.

This page is a quick lookup for known processor examples. Use [IT Best Practices](/it/it-best-practices.md) for the full workstation standards.

{% hint style="success" %}
Run the **Answering Service Care IT Assessment Test** before go-live and after major hardware changes.

[**Launch the Answering Service Care IT Assessment Test**](https://bit.ly/valtool)
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Treat this page as a non-exhaustive reference.

If a processor is not listed here, use [IT Best Practices](/it/it-best-practices.md) and the **ASC IT Assessment Test**.
{% endhint %}

### How processor approval is evaluated

Use the processor rules in [IT Best Practices](/it/it-best-practices.md).

Processor decisions depend on class, generation, and core count. Clock speed alone is not enough.

This page only confirms whether a processor is a known approved or unapproved example.

{% hint style="info" %}
Some Intel and AMD processors with suffixes such as `H`, `F`, `HX`, and `K` can still meet Liberty standards.

Confirm the processor class, generation, and core count before you approve the workstation.
{% endhint %}

### If a processor is not listed

Use this order:

1. Check the processor baseline on [IT Best Practices](/it/it-best-practices.md).
2. Confirm the full workstation meets RAM, storage, OS, and resolution requirements.
3. Run the **ASC IT Assessment Test** if it has not already been completed.
4. If the result is still unclear, collect the full processor name and workstation specs before review.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Do not approve a workstation from the processor alone.

A supported processor can still fail if the device does not meet the full workstation or network standards.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://it.answeringservicecare.com/it/it-best-practices/workstation-processor-reference.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
